The Tallis Scholars are a British vocal ensemble specializing in a cappella Renaissance and early sacred polyphony, founded by conductor Peter Phillips in 1973. The group is known for a pure, blended choral sound performing works by composers such as Palestrina, Josquin, Victoria, and their namesake Thomas Tallis. They record for the Gimell label, co-founded by Phillips, and tour internationally.
