Stringfest: Jorge Santiago Arce

Stringfest pairs young string players from across Boston with an acclaimed professional, who performs and then plays side-by-side selections with the students. This edition features Jorge Santiago Arce, a musician, dancer and cultural historian who has spent his career celebrating the African roots of Puerto Rican tradition, in a programme of Puerto Rican and Latin American folk songs arranged for strings and percussion.
