Steve Austin, founding singer and guitarist of the experimental metal band Today Is the Day, now plays outlaw country. His 2026 record Marked Cards and Loaded Dice is a stripped-back album in the line of Townes Van Zandt, Willie Nelson and Johnny Cash. He also produced Lamb of God's New American Gospel and Converge's When Forever Comes Crashing. He is not the retired pro wrestler of the same name.
