Soraia

Soraia is a Philadelphia rock band fronted by singer ZouZou Mansour, whose full-throated delivery owes as much to soul singers as it does to punk. The band plays lean, no-frills rock and roll with a rhythm section that leans hard on the backbeat, and they built their following the old way, by playing loud and often up and down the East Coast. Steven Van Zandt signed them to his Wicked Cool Records, which put their garage-soul sound in front of a national audience.
