The Ruth and Ben String Band is a high-energy old-time and roots string band from the Boston area, led by guitarist Ruth Rappaport and fiddler Ben Wetherbee, joined by Joel Wennerstrom on clawhammer banjo. Their repertoire spans rousing fiddle tunes and traditional and original songs with tight harmonies, and they are a staple of the Boston-area bluegrass and folk scene.
