Rusty Scott is a Boston jazz organist and pianist whose Hammond B3 playing comes straight out of the Jimmy Smith school: staccato jabs, long soulful holds and phrases that harden into grooves. A veteran of the Boston jazz scene, he also leads the Rusty Scott Organ Group, heard on the album The Thrill Is Gone.
