The Perfido/Humbert Duo pairs Dominique Humbert on alto and soprano saxophones with drummer Peter Perfido on kit, gongs and small percussion. They draw on the modern jazz writing of Thelonious Monk, Charlie Parker, Wayne Shorter and Paul Motian while pushing into wide-open improvisation, from meditative, minimal atmospheres to African-inspired folk textures. Perfido has played jazz, improvised music, rock and blues across four continents.
