Outer World are a Richmond, Virginia group who play retro futurist psychedelic garage pop, mixing French freakbeat, spy theme instrumentals and space age post punk with eighties New York disco punk. Kenneth Close and Tracy Wilson write and record the songs, and the live lineup has grown to six players. Their 2026 album Home is built on the idea that home is a shifting definition rather than a fixed place.
