Orpheus is the Grammy-winning, conductorless Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, founded in New York in 1972 and renowned for its collaborative, self-directed music-making. At Rockport the orchestra appears with violinist Paul Huang in a program of Beethoven, Elena Ruehr, and Dvorak's American Sinfonietta.
