Mal Devisa is the solo project of Amherst, Massachusetts artist Deja Carr, whose genre-defying music spans jazz, noise, folk, hip hop, and experimental forms. Praised by Pitchfork for her voice of "rare range and seemingly limitless capacity for empathy," she has collaborated with Earl Sweatshirt, MIKE, and Show Me The Body. Her 2016 debut Kiid remains a touchstone of the Western Mass underground.
