Lloyd Thayer is a Boston-based multi-instrumentalist and songwriter who blends American folk and blues with Indian, Arabic, Turkish, and Southeast Asian musical traditions, often weaving multiple cultural idioms into a single composition. He plays an extensive range of stringed instruments including Dobro, Weissenborn lap steel, Turkish oud and saz, Indian chaturangui and Mohan Veena, and ukulele. A veteran of the Cambridge-Boston folk scene, he has long been a fixture at Club Passim.
