Lane Hartley writes slow, spare indie rock -- slowcore in the vein of the genre's hushed, patient records, built around quiet vocals and a lot of space between the notes. His new album No Home was produced with David Hartley of The War on Drugs and recorded in Asheville with contributions from harpist Mary Lattimore and other North Carolina musicians. It's a quiet record built more on restraint than volume.
