Josh Gondelman is a Boston-area-raised stand-up comedian, writer, and producer who grew up in Stoneham, Massachusetts and began performing comedy in Boston at age 19. He is best known for his work as a staff writer and producer on HBO's Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, for which he won four Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Writing for a Variety Series (2016-2019). He has also written for Desus & Mero on Showtime, is a regular panelist on NPR's Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me!, and has released multiple acclaimed stand-up albums.
