Jessye DeSilva is a Boston-based singer-songwriter making piano-driven alt-americana that blends theatrical pop with folk and roots traditions, taking on religious alienation, mental health and social justice through a queer lens. The album Glitter Up the Dark, produced by Aaron Lee Tasjan, leans on 1980s and '90s influences. DeSilva earned a 2022 Boston Music Awards nomination for Americana Artist of the Year and was named a 2023 Artist to Watch by Nashville Scene.
