Jazz Composers Workshop Orchestra’s next Boston-area show is December 1, 2026 at New England Conservatory.
The Jazz Composers' Workshop Orchestra is New England Conservatory's laboratory big band for its jazz composition students, coached by pianist-composer Frank Carlberg. Students bring in charts, rehearse and conduct them, and the band fills out the programme with work by contemporary masters and guest composers such as Michael Formanek and Anna Webber.
