Hit Like a Girl is the Philadelphia project of Nicolle Maroulis, an indie/emo/sometimes-hardcore songwriter who has channeled queer heartache into sharp, catchy songs since 2017. Their forthcoming album Burning at Both Ends (2026) features collaborations with Bartees Strange and Petal, and the band has toured alongside Mom Jeans, Origami Angel, and Pool Kids. Off stage, Maroulis runs No More Dysphoria, a transgender nonprofit organization.
