Goli is a Boston-based chamber duo of Vessela Stoyanova (marimba, electronics) and Valerie Thompson (cello, voice), two classically trained musicians who cut their teeth in rock bands, world-folk ensembles, and symphony orchestras. Blending cello, marimba, and voice with a love of tango, Bartok, and free improvisation, they make genre-crossing chamber music for the modern era.
