The Compaq Big Band is one of the longest continuously operating large-format jazz ensembles in New England, established in 1975. The 19-piece group features 14 horns and a cooking rhythm section, drawing from a vast repertoire of swing classics, Great American Songbook standards, and arrangements associated with legends like Count Basie, Ella Fitzgerald, and Gordon Goodwin. They have performed at venues, swing dances, galas, and music festivals throughout the region for decades.
