The Chandler Travis Philharmonic is a nine-piece Boston and Cape Cod band that plays what it calls 'alternative dixieland' and 'omnipop': horn-driven arrangements, vocal harmonies and quirky pop songs led by guitarist and singer Chandler Travis. The lineup runs to upright bass, keyboards, mandocello, accordion, a three-piece horn section called the June Trailer Dancers and a 'singing valet.' The Village Voice called them 'keenly entertaining' and Travis 'a master of daft power pop.'
