Big Wreck is a Canadian hard rock band formed at Berklee College of Music in Boston in the early 1990s, built around the guitar virtuosity and songwriting of frontman Ian Thornley. Their 1997 major-label debut In Loving Memory Of... produced the Top Ten hit 'The Oaf' and showcased a muscular, post-grunge sound. After a decade-long hiatus, they returned in 2012 and have continued releasing albums into the 2020s.
