Barbara Martinez is a flamenco singer and dancer, born in Venezuela and raised in New York, and one of the few American flamenco artists who works regularly as both cantaora and bailaora. She studied cante on scholarship at the Cristina Heeren Foundation in Seville and has performed with companies including Flamenco Vivo Carlota Santana and A Palo Seco, and at Carnegie Hall. Her Beehive nights pair old and new flamenco with Latin and jazz.
