The Andy Voelker Trio is led by Boston saxophonist and composer Andy Voelker, whose playing is steeped in bebop and hard bop with avant-garde technique running through it, a mark of the city's free-music scene. He also co-leads the group Clear Audience and runs an after-hours jam session in Cambridge.
